Description:
Bedrock and surficial geology was mapped for two quadrangles in the Cerbat Mountains, Mohave County, AZ: Cerbat and Stockton Hill. The geologic mapping is original, but informed by previous workers (e.g., Wilkinson et al., 1982; Duebendorfer et al., 2001) in the Cerbat Mountains (except for the vicinity of the Mineral Park mine and patented mining claims which were mapped by remote techniques and compilation of previous published mapping and reports). This mapping is part of an ongoing, long-term AZGS effort to map the bedrock and basin geology of northwestern Arizona, with a particular emphasis along the future I-11 corridor (Ferguson et al., 2009; Ferguson and Cook, 2015; Gootee et al., 2021). This mapping complements six previously published AZGS maps in the general area.
